Systems Integration Engineer

SUMMARY

A quick learner who enjoys helping others learn systems. Participates in engineering and configures routine and moderately complex technical solutions for applications/systems implementations and upgrades, based on specific business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, configure, coordinate, execute, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system
• Participate in the design, development, analysis, monitoring and implementation of software operating systems and software application programs to ensure that the subsystems function together as a system
• Assist with performing day-to-day system administration, monitoring and maintenance tasks for assigned systems
• Coordinate and link together different computing systems and software applications to increase compatibility, information sharing, reduce operating time and improve efficiency
• Ensure the subsystems are designed with appropriate requirements, interfaces and interactions to achieve specific functionality to maintain systems integrity
• Analyze, maintain and upgrade existing technological systems. Design new computer systems and frameworks, provide troubleshooting for technical issues, and create system guideline manuals for training purposes.
• Lead others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
• Perform technical and subject matter research on emerging technologies to determine impacts on application execution
• Collaborate and provide the highest level of customer service to end-users to assess technology needs and system requirements
• Spearhead and coordinate work projects and new technology
• Test for compliance with security policies and procedures
• Collaborate and coordinate with vendors and analyze/review all maintenance agreements for relevancy and ensure timely renewals
• Promote and support all safety, health and wellness policies and procedures
• Perform daily standard work and other job duties as required

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Systems Integration, Electrical, Software, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, related field or equivalent experience
