Company History

AccuRounds was established by Len Tamasi in 1976 as a precision machining company. He purchased a company called B&F Swiss, located in Canton, MA. With a focus on highly precise round components, Len changed the name to AccuRounds and moved the business to Avon, MA in 1979.

The company operated Cam screw machines in the early years. In the 1970’s, technology advanced and CNC Swiss screw machines were introduced. AccuRounds purchased its first CNC Swiss screw machine in 1979 and was one of the first contract manufacturing companies to run this computerized technology. Ahead of the competition in learning to master this method of machining, we were able to provide customers with more complex components and faster turnaround.

As customers required enhanced product performance, applications for tight tolerance components increased. Over the years, we have manufactured millions of shafts, pins, bushings and valves. OEMs seeking quality components at a competitive price partner with AccuRounds for a seamless customer experience.

Continuous improvement is inherent in all we do. In 1995, we made it our mission to become a World Class manufacturing operation and implemented a comprehensive program to introduce lean manufacturing throughout the organization. In 2006, AccuRounds won The Northeast Shingo Prize, becoming the first contract metalworking company in North America to achieve this distinction.
